Leadership Team:
Our leadership team recognizes and willingly submits to the supremacy and authority of Jesus Christ. They collectively see themselves as under-shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd of the sheep, Jesus Christ. Their desire is to devote themselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. (Acts 6:4) Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ. (Ephesians 4:11,12)
Pastor Peter A. Ernst, Pastor-Teacher
As the primary teaching pastor, Pastor Pete has a passion for carefully unpacking the truths of Scripture. He has served at MBC for eighteen years. He and his wife, Cheri’ have two grown children.
Pastor Scott Olander, Youth, Discipleship and Outreach Pastor
Pastor Scott’s primary responsibility is teaching the youth and developing leadership training and evangelism outreach programs. Scott has served as the Youth pastor of MBC for fifteen years. He and his wife, Stephanie, have three children. Scott is passionate about teaching the youth, mentoring and discipling young men.

Worship and Family Ministries Pastor
The Bible has a lot to say about music, and Pastor Aaron’s role is to lead the church’s worship of God in a way that matches the character of God. Aaron and his wife, Randi, have two children and are new to our church family, having joined the staff in 2011.
Terri Olson, Office Administration
Terri joined the staff of Manzanita Baptist Church in 2007. She performs a variety of duties; accounting, correspondence and communication, scheduling, facilities use, and other tasks involved in keeping the inner workings of the church running as smoothly as possible. Terri and her husband, Kerry, have eight grown daughters and a growing number of grandchildren.
Traci Connolly, Ministry Assistant
Traci has been an active leader in our youth ministry for several years and joined the office staff at MBC in 2010. Traci provides personal assistance to each of the pastors and assists with numerous office and organizational tasks in the day to day function of the church office.
Allison Ogborn
As of November 2011, Allison has joined our staff as Director of Building Blocks Preschool, A Ministry of Manzanita Baptist Church. Allison has been working diligently to prepare our Learning Center for its transition into a full-time Preschool and child care facility.

Our Elder Board
The Board of Elders is comprised of a group of dedicated men duly appointed by the Associate Membership and accountable to the Associate Membership in all matters. It is the primary job of the Elders to lead and represent the flock of God. The qualifications of an Elder are defined in I Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. Elders are the Shepherds of the flock of God, and are responsible for the spiritual and temporal guidance and care of the membership body. (I Peter 5:1-4).
Currently the following men serve on our Elder Board:
David Turk, Chariman, Dr. Jerry Zitterkopf, Ed Sullivan, Chuck Otto, Kevin Keener, Drew Paterson, Mark Doyle and Ed Smith.
The Elder Board meets monthly on the first Tuesday of every month.
